Another school year has come and gone. It’s hard to believe. It seems like just yesterday they STARTED, and it’s already over.
It’s been a great year for the kids on so many levels!
Sean reconnected with a preschool friend, and strengthened some of his other friendships. He did great in school, he went on some cool field trips – including Astrocamp! He ended his year with a promotion ceremony and lunch with a friend. Not too shabby. Now he’s on to bigger things at Middle School. I don’t know if I’M ready for middle school, but I know he’ll do great!
Grace had a great year in 3rd grade. She was with old friends and met new ones. She learned a lot and became a great little dancer and actress. She helped me teach the class to knit. She had her first campout with Brownies, and is bridging today to become a Jr. Girl Scout. She probably could have done without the appendectomy, but there was far more good than bad this year.
Maddie really blossomed this year. She became an amazing, voracious reader, met great new friends (and kept great friends she met last year), dissected things, wrote a LOT, became a confident speaker and performer, and had a great year all around. She also bridged from a Daisy to a Brownie.
All in all, it was a pretty good year. I am now the parent of a 6th grader, a 4th grader, and a 2nd grader. Hardly seems possible.
